The object of the MGA shall be the promotion of good golf; to conduct various golf tournaments for its members; to promote good fellowship, sportsmanship and the accurate handicapping of all members.

The MGA serves the golf community of Grand Haven by providing games and tournaments for our group every Wednesday throughout the year. Our association provides a wonderful outlet for sport, fellowship, camaraderie and learning. Our games are flighted to include all participants of whatever ability level they are at. Our goals are to provide a positive, supportive and encouraging environment to play the sport we all love.

Spirit of the Game
In the etiquette section of the rules it is stated;
“Golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or an umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf. ”
