I entered the world on March of 1945 in the Pensacola Naval Station. Upon the end of WWII my family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. I was fortunate to grow up on the Gulf Coast beaches. In the early 50’s there was no Air Conditioning or TV so we spent our time either on or in the water.

Often referred to as “Florida Crackers”, the term belongs to the earlier settlers in the1763 who were cattle men. They used whips in the process of herding cattle. Hence “Cracker”.

Being such an outstanding student “NOT” in 1961 the family shipped me off to Florida Military School in Deland, Florida. This for me was a positive turning point in my life. Upon graduating in 1964, I attended St. Pete JC. and received my Associates Degree.

Upon graduating I moved to Vero Beach and went to worked for Piper Aircraft Corp. , in the engineering department as a designer. I also got my pilots license and spent many happy hours in the air flying single and multi-engine aircraft.

This aircraft is a 1940 P-51D Mustang. This aircraft is considered one of the world’s greatest fighter airplanes. I was fortunate to fly this one which was on my bucket list.

Then came the war in Vietnam and I joined the Army.

Being that I was a water person my MOS in the military was “Combat Engineer”. I also was TDY to the Navy where I underwent diver training along with EOD (Explosive Ordinance Deposal) In Pearl Harbor Oahu Hawaii. From there I was shipped to Vietnam to the 553 Engineers 1969 to 1970. I am a proud veteran and love this country. Except for the idiots in Congress!!

Getting suited up in a “Hard Hat” diving gear.

Upon my return to the “WORLD” I moved to Atlanta Georgia. I joined United Technologies Co. in sales of capital industrial equipment. Sullair was the division I worked with for 28 years. We sold Industrial Rotary Screw air compressors sizes 25HP to 800HP. Our motto was “Sullair The Best Screw in Town”. I advanced to Regional Manager with a territory from Los Angles to Baltimore to Trinidad
in the Caribbean. In my spare time I enjoyed sailing in the
British Virgin Islands on vacation.

Retired in 2005 and moved back to Florida. Carolyn and I met in 2012 and were married in Jacksonville, Florida. We moved to Palm Coast in 2014. Where I took up golf??
