Jim was born in the Bronx (NYC) on September 24th, 1966.  Around the time of his birth, Jim’s family was in the process of relocating to Mahopac New York.  Jim was in the Mahopac area until the end of 5th grade.  His family then relocated to Bridgewater New Jersey.  There, Jim spent the rest of his childhood in NJ and continued to live in the state until March of 2024.  Most of his adult life was spent in Wall Township NJ.

Jim and Andrea met by hanging out at the college bars near Rutgers (Roxy and Melody) and were married a few years later, on a Saturday night in 1992. It happened to be Halloween night, and we threw a Halloween-themed wedding with carved pumpkins, themed ice sculptures, and masks for the guests as party favors. We eventually had two boys named Chris and Ryan.  Chris lives in Hoboken NJ and provides Cyber Security consulting to the Marriott Corporation. His brother Ryan recently graduated from San Diego State University and works for General Atomics in San Diego as an Engineering Analyst.

Jim retired from his professional career in February of 2025 (yes just a few weeks ago).  Jim’s professional career was focused on computer Software Solutions.  He led business units that ranged from 10 million dollars all of the way up to 500 million.  He held titles such as Chief Operating Officer, Global Head of Delivery, Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics, and Global Leader of Professional Services.

Jim has always had an interest in fixing things within our house and for family and friends.  As a retirement hobby/business, Jim is available to work on projects within Grand Haven.  He has experience in carpentry, electrical, tiling, and plumbing repairs and is willing to take on any job no matter how small.  Examples of recent work include installing a ceiling fan, putting together furniture, installing new lighting, repairing shower grout and fixtures, installing pictures, mirrors, and blinds. I have also replaced minor appliances such as garbage disposals, garage door openers, microwaves, and stovetops.  No job is too small - I am happy to help you to get bins/items in and out of your attics if you need my help.

From a golfing perspective – Jim is a range rat.  I enjoy spending many hours per week working on the range whilst trying to not hit our new range balls into the woods.  For those that have golfed with me – I am improving due to my practice time.  I remember one of my first Saturday morning outings as I was paired up with Dave Neely and Frank Large.  I was punishing the golf ball in my usual manner however my shots were landing in other fairways or well past the greens.  It was Dave N who said, “It looks like you have a missile system but no guidance system”.  Both funny and true!   In any case, I’ve been working to get the missiles to land closer to the drop zones.  I am also likely the only golfer in our club who has been struck by lightning while playing golf – but that’s another story….
